Central Iowa Healthcare Coalition

Our Mission:

Foster a coordinated effort among local partners to work on improving planning for emergencies in the healthcare setting.

Our Purpose:

Planning, Training, Information Sharing, Resource Sharing, Support, and Grant Management

Our Members:

Central Iowa Healthcare Coalition serves the counties of Adair, Boone, Carroll, Dallas, Greene, Guthrie, Jasper, Madison, Marshall, Polk, Poweshiek, Story, Tama, and Warren Counties. The total population of the counties served is approximately 950,000 residents.

Primary Coalition members include hospitals, local public health, emergency management; and emergency medical services.

Coalition members are encouraged to develop partnerships with their local essential community members and organizations to strengthen coordinated response during an incident. These partners may include Clinics, Fire and Law Enforcement Agencies, Long Term Care Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, Pharmacies, educational institutions, Home Health Agencies, Dialysis Clinics, Behavioral and Mental Health Services, Substance Abuse Services, Faith-Based Organizations, and other private businesses.
